Purpose of IA-MAEOPP
The Iowa chapter of the Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (IA-MAEOPP) is one of eight chapters in the MAEOPP association. The Mid-America Association of Educational Opportunity Program Personnel (MAEOPP) represents 10 states: Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Nebraska, Ohio, and Wisconsin.
IA-MAEOPP is the professional organization for personnel affiliated with TRiO programs throughout the state of Iowa.
Why Become a Member?
- Membership in the association is initiated through the chapters. There are no individual memberships in a chapter apart from the membership in the Association. There are six types of membership:

Representation on the national level - Your membership provides an important link to the Council for Opportunity in Education (COE).

Reduced Registration fees - MAEOPP members attend annual regional conferences at reduced rates.

Emerging Leaders Institute - A new class of emerging leaders are sponsored each year by the association.

Student Leadership Conference - This annual event focuses either on the secondary or postsecondary TRiO student population and provides opportunity for leadership development.

Membership Directory - A directory is produced each year with complete personnel information.
